At Cookie Sticker Co, we are passionate about planning, scrapbooking, and spreading kindness through our unique products. Our journey began years ago when my Granny introduced me to the world of scrapbooking, igniting a creative spark that has been with me ever since. As an adult, I rediscovered the joy of planners thanks to a coworker who introduced me to the “We love EC” community on Facebook. In this wonderful group, we exchanged Random Acts of Kindness (RAKS) each week, forming new friendships and realizing we shared a common desire for representation in the planning world.
In 2016, I noticed a significant lack of stickers that truly represented Black planners and their cultural tasks. Our hair textures, styles, and important celebrations like Juneteenth were often missing from the planners available in the market. Recognizing the need for diversity and inclusivity, I decided to step up and fill the void in the planning community.
With a heart full of determination and ideas, I brought my creativity home and crafted my very first sticker, the “wash day” sticker. Encouraged by its success, I expanded my range, creating 10 unique listings, and opened my Etsy shop, Cookie Sticker Co. The response was overwhelming – the community loved what we had to offer, and our stickers quickly gained popularity.
As the demand for our products grew, so did our ambitions. After two years of successful operation, we took a leap of faith and launched our own platform, Cookie Sticker Co. This pivotal move allowed us to establish a stronger connection with our customers and build the loyal following we needed to embark on our biggest project yet – Washi Tape!
We wanted to be pioneers in the planner community by becoming the first Black-owned washi tape shop. Our mission was to bring diversity and representation to a product that holds a special place in the hearts of planners worldwide. The journey wasn’t easy; creating washi tape requires significant investment and buying power, but with unwavering dedication, we made it happen.
Since the release of our first washi tape, our collection has grown, and our products have consistently sold out within minutes. We are proud to have built a washi tape collection that competes with some of the biggest names in the planner community, all while remaining true to our vision of inclusivity.
At Cookie Sticker Co, we are more than just a sticker and washi tape shop. We are a community of passionate individuals who believe in the power of planning, creativity, and spreading kindness. Our products are designed with love, representing diverse cultures, hair textures, and important cultural events.
